Mixed Bag Program for Duck, High Volume Dove & Perdíz
Located in the province of Entre Ríos only 2.5 hours north of Buenos Aires, Santa Maria offers high volume dove shooting year round and volume duck, perdiz, pigeon over decoys and doves from May 1st thru August 15th. Our dove shoots take place in different areas – fly ways, cut fields, near roosting areas surrounding Santa María Lodge with transfer times from lodge to field ranging from 20 to 45 minutes. Each hunter will have a guide that will provide shells, cold drinks and any other assistance that may be needed in the field.
We conduct our duck hunts in dry blinds designed for two hunters plus a guide. Depending on the marsh, blinds are located along the shore or further into the marsh over the water. Either way, blinds are easily accessible and require very little walking in areas with soft bottoms. Great guides, a good decoy spread and electronic call among others will ensure you experience the best duck shoots of your life.
The areas around at Santa Maria Lodge support a wide variety of duck species. Local species include Red Shoveler, Teal (Silver, Ringed, Speckled, Cinnamon and Brazilian), Yellow Billed and White Cheeked Pintail, Fulvous and White-Faced Whistling Duck, Chilean Widgeon, and the country’s trophy duck, the Rosy Billed Pochard. Although weather, blind location, and water levels determine the makeup of a day’s take, many hunters’ bags consist of 7-11 different species
Our duck blinds take place in different ponds or marshes surrounding Santa Maria Lodge with transfer times from lodge to field ranging from 15 to 40 minutes. Each hunter will have a guide that will provide shells, cold drinks and any other assistance that may be needed in the field.
Perdiz shoots typically take place in the morning. One guide will assist two hunters and a pointing dogs as the group works productive fields.

Our new hunt is designed to provide true high dove shoot while providing a much more convenient option than other multi day package hunts available elsewhere in the country all of this while giving most any hunter all the fast-paced shooting he or she desires.
This hunt is ideal for residents and visitors alike who, for example, may have little flexibility with their schedule, not interested in a 4-day package hunt, want to avoid the trouble of flying, or are interested in the convenience of a quick escape to Entre Ríos.
Full-day hunts with early morning departures and evening return to the city make it easy to be back for dinner or obligations the following day.
Full Day Program

- Depart hotel in Buenos Aires at 6:00 am in ground transfer for the Gualeguaychu area in Entre Rios.
- 8:30 am arrival to hunting area. Morning shoot. Midday Argentine asado (BBQ) in the field followed by siesta in hammocks. Afternoon dove shoot to approximately 6:30 pm.
- Return to Buenos Aires at 7:00 pm. Arrival at your hotel in Buenos Aires at 9:30 pm followed by transfer to your hotel.
